Lucinda (she/her) is a Clinical Psychologist with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Sydney. Lucinda provides psychological therapy for Adults with anxiety, depression, emotion regulation difficulties, interpersonal challenges, chronic health issues (including chronic pain/ chronic fatigue/ Long Covid), high sensitivity traits, neurodivergence* and other life challenges.

Lucinda values a warm, curious, open-minded, compassionate and non-judgemental approach founded on unconditional positive regard, creating a safe place to work collaboratively with people to address their needs, alleviate suffering, identify their values, life goals and reach their unique potential as a person.

Lucinda takes an integrative approach, using multiple evidence-based therapies to assist with emotion regulation, relationship concerns, chronic health difficulties, neurodivergence and other challenges. Her main therapeutic approaches are Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) (click here for more on Compassion-Focused Therapy). Compassion-Focused Therapy principles are fundamental to Lucinda’s overall philosophy as a psychologist, as is neurodiversity-affirming practice. Lucinda enjoys working with people who identify with psychologist Elaine Aron’s description of “The Highly Sensitive Person”. She is particularly interested in emotion and other self-regulation difficulties, as well as high sensitivity traits and neurodivergence, in psychological and chronic health difficulties. Other psychological theories and therapies that influence Lucinda’s approach include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Radically-Open DBT, Family Systems, Schema Therapy, Positive Psychology, Humanist Psychology and Existential Psychology ideas.

Prior to working at The Psychological Health Centre, Lucinda had experience providing psychological therapy and support to adults and older adolescents in a range of settings including headspace, Sydney University’s Psychology Clinic, a public hospital chronic pain management clinic, community mental health outreach, and as a crisis counsellor for Lifeline.
