Lindsay from the Integrative Psychology Clinic is now practicing at The Psychological Health Centre. Lindsay has a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology. She has been working in private practice on the Northern Beaches since 2012, providing treatment for children, adolescents and adults. Lindsay has experience treating a wide range of mental health conditions in both community and private hospital settings.
Lindsay’s approach to treatment is informed by integrating evidence-based practices to suit the needs of each client. Her approaches include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Where clinically appropriate Lindsay draws on her skills in trauma-informed yoga, integrating somatic tools and mindful movement to help her clients regulate emotions.
Lindsay has been comprehensively trained in DBT and has been involved in developing DBT based programs in private practice, private hospitals and community-based programs. At The Psychological Health Centre Lindsay provides DBT skills for individuals who want to regulate intense emotions and unhelpful behaviours, but who do not require the intensity and depth of the Comprehensive Program.
Lindsay is currently offering psychological treatment to people 16 and older. She is particularly interested in helping people to draw on their personal resilience and strength, recover from the impacts of stress and burn out and improve psychological health. She is able to provide treatments for panic disorder, phobias, social anxiety disorder, generalised anxiety disorder, unhelpful perfectionism, depression and chronic stress through a combination of talk therapy and mindfulness-based practices.
