Elysa is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who offers therapy and counselling for adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. She is especially known for her kind, calm and non-judgmental presence, and for the way she helps people feel truly safe to explore what is most difficult.
Elysa supports people through many of life’s struggles including low mood, anxiety, periods of uncertainty and the effects of trauma. She also works with people who find relationships difficult or painful. She can help with relationship difficulties related to early experiences of loss, disconnection, attachment disruption or emotional injury. This includes people who feel misunderstood, overwhelmed by their emotions, or are unsure how to trust or connect with others. Her approach is thoughtful and collaborative. Elysa draws from a blend of evidence-based therapies including CBT, ACT, interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic ideas. These are adapted to each person’s story, with care taken to work at the pace that feels right. She believes healing happens when people are met with real compassion and treated with care.
Elysa brings warmth, empathy and lived experience to her work, shaped by supporting a neurodivergent loved one in her own life. This adds depth and sensitivity to her understanding of how people move through the world in different ways and helps her create space for people to be fully themselves without pressure to mask, explain or perform.
For Elysa, it’s a real privilege to be let into people’s lives, to hear their stories, sit with their pain, and support them through moments of change and growth
