Ashley is a Registered Psychologist with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. Currently completing her Clinical Registrar program, she has experience working in private practice providing therapy for children, adolescents and young adults.
Ashley enjoys working with young people and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, life transition challenges, stress management, and emotion regulation difficulties. In addition, she has a particular interest in helping people whose problems relate to having perfectionistic tendencies, high standards for themselves, or a strong inner critic. Ashley also likes helping people who have been diagnosed as neurodivergent later in life and who may want assistance to better understand the diagnosis and ways to integrate this into their existing identity.
Ashley has experience working with children (aged 7 and up) and their families with anxiety and emotion regulation difficulties. She is an accredited Cool Kids provider. Cool Kids is a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Program that focuses on teaching practical skills to kids and parents to help children to reduce anxiety and to develop confidence.
Ashley draws from a range of different approaches to treatment, tailored to best suit the needs of the individual. These include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy. Above all, Ashley strives to create a collaborative, warm and authentic environment where the client feels supported and free from judgment.
